How an engagement runs
Build & Operate
End-to-end ownership of the build, ship, and post-launch operating.
See it in action — Wayfair Rewards on Android →Build & Hand-Off
Build the foundation, then transition the codebase to your team.
See it in action — Lilly Tempo, Class II FDA-cleared →Lead & Coordinate
Architecture, cadence, code review, and executive translation on the team you have.
See it in action — MyDISH modernization →Advise & Review
Reviews, audits, due diligence, and senior judgement on call.
See it in action — Incident Aid + SCU →Most real engagements blend modes. Advise & Review frequently grows into Build & Operate; build projects often settle into ongoing advisory. Both are normal — no re-contracting needed.
Built the Android app that paired (Bluetooth) with a custom over-the-air signal-meter device. The coverage and signal data the app surfaced fed into the technical context for DISH's $5B acquisition of Sprint's Boost Mobile prepaid ($1.4B) and 800 MHz spectrum licenses ($3.59B), announced July 26, 2019 as part of the DOJ remedy for the Sprint-T-Mobile merger — and won Best of Show from Residential Systems Magazine at CEDIA Expo 2019. The product shipped through authorized DISH distributors at launch.

“I had the pleasure of managing Mo for the past year. He has made a significant impact by leading a few key initiatives during his short time like Wayfair Financing on Android. He demonstrated his Android knowledge, his ability to collaborate his stakeholders, and his care for his team during this timeframe. He has grown to become a key contributor in team Loyalty And Financing App in this short timeframe.”
VP1 — One person, every layer
You don't have to scope your problem to fit the consultant's lane. Whether the engagement needs hands on keys, a foundation built and handed over, a team you already have run more tightly, or a senior who just sits in once a week — same person, same context, no rehires when the engagement evolves.
VP2 — Shipped work in the rooms that matter
Not portfolio-padding side projects. Production code in an $11.851B retailer's Android app. An FDA-cleared Class II medical device. A Bluetooth signal-meter app that enabled a multi-billion-dollar carrier negotiation. A connected consumer toy that landed in Forbes and is still selling a decade later. The throughline: software that had to actually work, in front of real users, under real consequences.
VP3 — Comfortable in regulated and high-stakes domains
Healthcare and FDA, fintech, telecom, retail and loyalty. The kind of work where "we'll figure out compliance later" isn't an option. Translates directly into less project risk for clients in those sectors and adjacent ones.
“I would always go to Mo for challenging technical roles.”
VP4 — Modern tooling, modern delivery
Production-grade familiarity with AI-assisted engineering (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, Amazon Q) and modern delivery patterns: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kotlin Multi-Platform, Jetpack Compose, cloud-native architectures on AWS.
I'm Mohamed Alborati. Brooklyn-based solution architect, twenty years in — electronics retail to CUNY engineering to Wipro to AgreeYa-via-Deloitte to Wayfair to Alborati LLC. The throughline took me two decades to notice: every job has been about operating at the layer the work demanded.
